Kumara Villa comfortably sleeps a maximum 6 adults in 3 Kingsize bedrooms up to 2 additional guests can be added on a triple room shared basis, extra charges apply. Please note cots are available for younger babies. All bedrooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans and large outdoor terraces.

There are spacious open plan living areas with floor to ceiling bi-fold doors and windows opening onto tropical gardens and a large outdoor deck with outdoor seating, sun lounges, umbrellas and a 50ft saltwater pool. The elevated design allows uninterrupted views over the canopy of surrounding trees and king coconut palms. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the birds and monkeys especially during the early mornings and late afternoons.

The surf break at Weligama Bay beach is less than 3 minutes away with restaurants, beach cafes, supermarkets and surf schools.

How many guests can we book for?

We offer three double rooms that can accommodate up to 6 adults. We are happy to accept a minimum of 1 guest or a maximum of 8 guests, please note 8 guests will be accommodated in triple share rooms with a single bed being added to existing bedrooms - extra charges apply. There is an additional charge for each additional guest added after 6 guests to every booking.

Will there be other guests on the property?

Because you privately rent the whole property, and we do not rent by the room you will have private use of the villa regardless of the number of guests in your booking. (No other guests will be there during your stay).

Are there staff on the property?

We provide 3 local ladies during your stay who will do the housework and cook if required, we also have a staff member who speaks very good who will help you with your daily food selection for your stay, he will go out each day to buy your groceries from the local supermarket so you only pay for what you eat the cost will vary depending on your meal choices. During your stay the following staff will be at the villa a full-time caretaker and gardener, full time housekeepers/cooks, full time night watchmen and a full-time guest manager. Our staff are all from the local area and none of them have worked anywhere else except for us.

What is our cancellation policy?

We refund for cancellations made 30 Days before arrival (excludes nonrefundable bookings). For cancellations made after 30 Days but before 7 days prior to arrival you’ll be charged 50% of the total booking cost. Cancellation after 7 days prior to arrival, no shows or same day cancellations will be charged 100% of total booking cost.

What meals are included?

Our daily rate includes a complimentary “Tropical” breakfast, and our very clever cooks can prepare cooked meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner at an affordable cost to guests for local groceries only, you only pay for what you eat so prices will vary depending on your preferences. Our staff are all from the local area and none of them have worked anywhere else except for us, they can provide you with wonderful local food and a limited selection of western food prepared freshly cooked, all meals are served as a family sit down dinner from our small "staff only" kitchen. We are not able to make a different meal for each person, but we are happy to do a separate meal for children.

What additional meals are provided?

Additional meals can be prepared by our staff at an additional cost to guests, prices will vary depending on your meal choices from our listed suggestions available for breakfast, lunch or dinner. When placing your order please allow 4 hours for shopping and preparation time.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Arrival time is 2pm/ Departure time is 11am. Please contact us to enquire if we can accommodate an earlier check-in or a later check-out time.

Can we help arrange airport transfers?

Please contact us if you would like a quote for an airport transfer, we use a local agent, and costs vary depending on vehicle required and number of guests. Payment is made in LKR direct to the driver.

Is the villa child friendly?

We can accommodate children of all ages; we have 2 single beds and 2 cots that can be added to the existing bedrooms. Our cooks are also happy to arrange special meals if required. A highchair is available on request.

Is there a TV?

We have a Smart TV in the pool pavilion that is connected to limited satellite channels. You are also able to login to your TV apps (Netflix, Prime etc.) please remember to logout when you leave.

Can we get massages, yoga or private training sessions?

During your stay we will happily arrange massages, yoga or private training at the villa using local therapists, prices vary depending on your requirements and payment is made in LKR direct to the supplier.

Can you smoke?

Please respect our home – No smoking indoors – ashtrays are available for you to smoke outside, please ask the staff if you need one.

Are you allowed alcohol at the villa?

Yes, you are welcome to BYO alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages, we do provide unlimited filtered drinking water and ice is also available on request.

Is there a safe in the room?

Yes, we have small room safes in the bedrooms for guests to use. Please ask the staff if you require assistance setting your combination.

Please note guests are responsible for all personal items stored in the room safe and for providing their own personal travel insurance policy to cover any unexpected damages or loss while staying at Kumara Villa.

Is there a washing machine or iron available?

There are laundry baskets in each bedroom that staff will empty on a daily basis, please note we rely on sunshine to dry the laundry so cannot guarantee a same day service. "No delicate clothing please - all care will be taken but no responsibility will be accepted." If you need to use an iron, please ask the staff and they will set it up in your room.

What electrical plugs do you have in the villa?

Our villa has a selection of universal wall sockets (UK INDIAN AUS USA EUR) however most Sri Lankan power points vary depending on the age of the accommodation you stay in I would suggest you bring a universal power adapter rather than a single use adapter.
